exploring alaska with columbia

Alaska is everything you expect and more. This was another adventure, I will continue to talk about every chance I get. Columbia and one of the most amazing teams I’ve had the chance to work with, took us exploring through Matanuska. Off roading through glaciers and helli touring to some of the biggest and most amazing mountains I have ever been to. This was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had in my life to date. These images were captured on top of the Matanuska Valley or as I like to say on top of the world.

Transition Premiere / rip curl canada

There is always something amazing about shooting live events and capturing the real moments around you. Real emotions and real moments are basically what inspire most, if not all my creative ideas. These are some of the moments I captured for Rip Curl Canada at my friends Noah and Nate’s movie premiere, Transition, in Victoria,BC.

Pan Am with team canada

Even though I had some personal hiccups during this trip, I still managed to have a great time with Team Canada at the Pan Am pre qualifying Claro games in Lima, Peru. The team had a great performance with an overall 4th place. Though, Mathea Olin was definitely the start of this competition. Acquiring two medals; a Gold medal in the Open Women Longboard division and a Bronze medal in the Open Women Short board division. It was one of Team Canada’s best performance in an International competition. These are some of the images I  captured after Mathea’s amazing performance and during the competition. Definitely a very memorable time for Team Canada !

Every time I went out exploring to create some content for Blundstone Canada, a lot of the times, the lifestyle models would arrive already wearing blundstones hahaha. Blundstone truly are the shoes of the PNW. Here are some images I shot for Blundstones Canada.

lochside cycles

I love my home base, Victoria, BC. I love its neighbourhoods, its people, its weather and its local businesses and brands. Lochside Cycles is one of my favourite brands to shoot with and I also love riding their bikes. Here are a couple shots from a past creative in this beautiful city inside of the amazing island I call home.

zen like in nicaragua

When my dear friend Ruth mentioned she needed a photographer to document her Yoga retreat in Nicaragua, I was immediately down and super stoked. Nicaragua is beautiful, the surf is amazing, the food is delicious and the local people are extremely kind. By far one of my favourite places to go to in Central America. I ended up creating some lifestyle content for the resort, Costa Dulce. One hundred percent one of my favourite places to stay in Nicaragua. These are some of my favourite images I got to captured from this assignment.

rifflandia x

Rifflandia X was such a rad time. It was by far, one of the best line-up of artists, the festival has ever brought to the city of Victoria, BC. The stage installations outdid past years, as well as the vibes from the locals and visitors. This was the festival’s tenth year anniversary and I could not be more excited to continue to see this awesome festival has in store for the upcoming years. These are some of the photos + Video I captured in the four nights of madness and amazing music.

These are some of my favourite portraits of a  couple friends near my house in beautiful Victoria, BC.

adrift campaing with anian

As being part of a start up brand, when creating upcoming campaigns, you have to play a lot of different roles. Next to Paul, current owner at Anian mfg. We took care of finding the right location, casting the right talent, production, styling, art direction and logistics. In order to help create these amazing images. As a matter of fact, I also had to model for this one too hahaha. Shot by the super talented photographer Mackenzie Duncan, we created such an amazing feel for the brand’s summer campaign. Nowadays these are some of the images I constantly re-visit for inspiration.

surf canada, the beginning

Almost a year after I took on Surf Canada, as a client, to help run their creative venues. Along side president and friend Dom Domic, we managed to revamp the website, social media channels, generate new logos and get the team’s presence ready for the world cup in Biarritz, France. I was extremely excited when I got invited to come along with the team to document the event and run the social media channels while the team competed in the world cup. This was my first competition as media for surf Canada, and my favourite trip with the team so far ! The team had a great performance, specially Noah Cohen and his fiery back handed surfing. I will for ever remember his decision to paddle across the beach in the middle of his heat, nerves of steel, to then carry his decision to get the waves he needed and win his heat on to the next round. Just an amazing showcase of determination.

Kauai and Vancouver Island with Olukai

Adventuring through Kauai with Olukai for the Island Hoppers campaign was definitely one of the highlights of my life. Such an incredible team to work with including North shore big wave surfer and legend Mark Healey. After Kauai I got to bring Olukai home and put their amazing products to test in the rugged coast of Vancouver Island. These are some of my favourite images from Kauai and Vancouver Island with Olukai.

ANIAN, GQ and Destination Canada

Still until this day, I am super grateful to have come across the boys at Anian mfg when I did. In a way, it re-directed my life towards the ground I currently walk. We had such a rad time developing the brand, surfing as much as we could and throwing some of the best parties this city has seen. This was, one of those break through moments, when we felt the brand was having a real dig at it. Destination Canada, GQ and Luke Ditella were collaborating on showcasing beautiful Canada through a series of videos, encompassing adventures around with local people in various locations. When it came down to Vancouver Island we were lucky enough to get ask to show Luke a rad time. These are some of the images I got to capture, which ended up being showcased on GQ.com
